TAMPA, Fla. (May 31, 2017) — The Florida Venture Forum and Space Florida announced last week the winners of the 10th Annual 2017 Florida Early Stage Capital Conference and Space Florida’s Accelerating Innovation prize, where SiteZeus took home the win. The competition drew over twenty Florida-based companies from a variety of industries, who then presented to an audience of angel investors, entrepreneurs and industry professionals.
Selected from a pool of over 130 applicants to present to a panel of judges, SiteZeus drew attention and interest from investors with its proprietary data stack and rapidly growing client base. The first place prize for the Accelerating Innovation (AI) Award was $75,000, which the team will strategically put to good use.
SiteZeus Co-CEO and Co-Founder Hannibal Baldwin noted that competition at the event was fierce— which is a great sign for Florida’s startup ecosystem.
It’s an amazing feeling to win amongst so many great teams, and I could not be more proud to be a native Floridian. A big thanks to the Florida Venture Forum for the opportunity to present and share the incredible work and technology our entire SiteZeus team has been so dedicated to and focused on. We are excited to see what the future holds for us.”
